Do we know the source of this nonsense? I saw it referenced in a book I own that even Vittorio Emanuele believed it. But I can't find a source for how it became popularised. I told him this doesn't make sense. But he keeps quoting me toponyms of Sicilian origin, like somehow the fact Marsala has an arabic origin name means 5% of us still speak Sicolo-Arabic.
