(IT) Una risoluzione atta a chiarire la visione politica della Cadèmia. Vista la crescita e l'evoluzione della nostra associazione, abbiamo ritenuto necessario chiarire ulteriormente i nostri obiettivi politici ed il focus della nostra missione. La Cadèmia è un'organizzazione puramente basata sulla linguistica e si pronuncia strettamente sulle politiche direttamente collegate alla lingua siciliana. Per questo motivo questa associazione non prende posizioni politiche su questioni non collegate alla linguistica, ciò nonostante i nostri membri potrebbero rispecchiare un ampio ventaglio di convinzioni politiche. Le loro convinzioni politiche non rispecchiano quelle della Cadèmia. La Cadèmia crede che le tematiche riguardanti la linguistica siano non-partisan, e crede che riguardino la comunità linguistica nella sua interezza. Chiarite queste questioni, chiediamo ai nostri membri di NON associare la Cadèmia a movimenti politici o ad organizzazioni non strettamente di natura linguistica. Temiamo che un fraintendimento dei nostri ideali e dei nostri obiettivi possano avere un effetto nefasto nella percezione della nostra missione e nella conservazione della lingua, in generale. (EN) A Resolution to clarify the political position of the Cadèmia. As our organisation has grown and evolved we've found it necessary to more clearly state the political goals and the focus of our mission. The Cademia is strictly a linguistic organisation and advocates only on behalf of policies that affect the Sicilian language directly and does not take political positions on non-linguistic issues. Although our membership is diverse and may reflect a range of political beliefs. Their views do not reflect that of the Cadèmia. The Cadèmia views language as a non-partisan issue, and believes linguistic loss affects all speakers. As such we request our membership to not associate the Cadèmia with political organisations or movements that are not strictly linguistic in nature. We fear that misappropriation of the goals of our mission may have a negative affect on its perception and of language conservation as a whole.
